StoryGlow — Privacy Policy

StoryGlow ("we," "us") makes StoryGlow: Kids Story Maker, an app for families to create and read personalized children's storybooks. We care deeply about children's privacy and built this app to collect as little information as possible.

No accounts, no sign-up.

StoryGlow does not require you to create an account or provide a name, email, or password to use it. The app works from your device.

What we process.

When you create a story, the story idea, character descriptions, and options you type are sent securely to our AI providers to generate the story text and illustrations. This is used only to produce your book and is not used to build advertising or user profiles. We do not ask for or intentionally collect personal information about the child using the app.

No third-party ads or tracking.

StoryGlow does not display third-party advertising and does not use third-party advertising or behavioral-analytics SDKs that track users across apps.

Purchases.

Optional token purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles all payment information; we never receive or store your card or payment details. A parental gate is presented before any purchase.

Where your books live.

Your created books are stored on your device, and, if you enable it, synced to your private Apple iCloud account. You can remove all local data at any time by deleting the app.

Service providers.

We use a small number of providers strictly to run the app: OpenAI (to generate story text and images), Apple (App Store and in-app purchases), and Cloudflare (to securely route and cache generation requests). We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.

Children's privacy (COPPA / GDPR-K).

StoryGlow is designed to be safe and age-appropriate for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond the minimal story inputs described above, which are used solely to generate the requested book. Purchases and any external links are placed behind a parental gate. If you believe a child has provided personal information and you would like it removed, contact us and we will promptly address it.

Data retention.

Story inputs are processed to generate your book and are not retained to profile users. Books remain on your device (and your iCloud, if enabled) until you delete them or delete the app.

Your choices.

You can delete individual books in the app, turn iCloud sync off in your device settings, and remove all data by uninstalling the app.

Changes.

We may update this policy; we will post the new effective date here.
